QnA Schengen Visa
Can Singaporeans enter Germany without a visa?
Outbound Team
The answer is yes. Singapore passport holders can enter Germany without a visa for short stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period. This applies to tourism, business trips, or visiting friends and family.
However, if you plan to work, study, or stay longer than 90 days, you’ll need to apply for the appropriate German visa or residence permit.
Even without a visa, German border officers may ask you to show:
• A valid Singapore passport (at least 3 months’ validity beyond your stay).
• Proof of accommodation and return flight.
• Proof of sufficient funds.
• Travel insurance covering your entire stay.
✨ At Outbound Singapore, we help clarify whether you need a visa, guide you on the right documents to carry, and support applications if your trip is for work, study, or long-term purposes.
