QnA Schengen Visa

How much does a bank statement need for a Schengen visa?

Outbound Team
There isn’t a single fixed amount across all Schengen countries. Each country sets its minimum financial requirement, but as a general guideline, you should show enough funds to cover:

Accommodation
Daily expenses (meals, transport, activities)
Return flight

On average, this works out to €50–€120 per day of your stay, depending on the country. For example:

• France often requires at least €65 per day.
• Germany may expect around €45 per day.
• Other countries may ask for more if you don’t have prepaid accommodation.

Your bank statement should usually cover the last 3 to 6 months, showing stable income and healthy balances.

✨ At Outbound Singapore, we help review your financial documents and advise whether your statement is strong enough before you submit your application—so you’ll apply with confidence.
