QnA Schengen Visa
For how long will an ETIAS authorization be valid?
Outbound Team
An ETIAS authorization will be valid for 3 years, or until your passport expires — whichever comes first.
This makes ETIAS extremely convenient for frequent travellers.
Here’s what you need to know 👇
🕒 1. Valid for 3 years
Once approved, ETIAS stays valid for 36 months.
You can enter the Schengen Area as many times as you want, as long as you respect the 90 days in any 180-day period rule.
📘 2. Automatically linked to your passport
Your ETIAS is digital — nothing is stamped or attached.
Airlines and border control scan your passport and see your ETIAS instantly.
📅 3. If your passport expires, ETIAS expires too
Even if your ETIAS has time left, it becomes invalid the moment your passport expires.
You must apply for a new ETIAS with your new passport.
🛫 4. Multiple entries allowed
ETIAS lets you enter and exit the Schengen Area as often as you like during its 3-year validity.
No need to reapply for each trip.
💡 Outbound Singapore Tip
Think of ETIAS as a “fast-track travel approval” — once you have it, Schengen entry becomes smooth for the next few years.
We’ll notify clients when ETIAS officially launches and guide you through the quick online process.
